Godhood: A fresh start Empty Godhood: A fresh start

Post by KatoHearts(A) Thu May 12, 2016 11:59 pm

This world is one of many.

A nameless bubble among the seething mass of the multiverse.

There has never been anything here.

Or maybe that's not true.

Maybe it was something once.

A perfect civilization.

A home of gods long forgotten.

A den of things better left unmade and unknown.

Simply wiped away in the blink of an eye.

It is quiet now, naught can be heard but a soft hum.

The energies of Creation wait here.

Someone will come forth to wield them.

Or maybe many will come.

Only time will tell.

As for what will be brought forth...

Godhood: A fresh start Empty Re: Godhood: A fresh start

Post by LampostSamurai Fri May 13, 2016 2:31 pm

In a puff of admittedly circular logic, Grok begins to be.

He muses at the nothingness, and considers briefly, what there is that should be first. He starts simple. A huge ball of nuclear fire to keep the eventual somethingness warm. However, he pauses partway, trying to think of what would make it interesting. He accelerates it to the end of it's lifespan in a blink, and it explodes violently, quickly evolving into a small hyperdense Pulsar.

Horendithas puffs into existence. This lack of warmth, sound, fun.. Well, there has to be a way to change it. He could make a planet. A big planet. Currently devoid of life, but that could definitely be changed. Later. Maybe right now, he could just play some music. This lute is nice.

Melody hums along to Horendithas' music, letting the hum settle into the planet as some simple grasses start to take shape, establishing a little bit of life on a previously-barren ball of rock.

The Warsmith comes through into this world, the call of the gods creations ringing like the blows of hammers upon the steel to his senses. He looks upon the world taking shape, and finds it lacking in features. He sculpts one of his own, raising mighty mountains, and great planes, with rivers flowing to 4 equatorial seas, figuring how to make most of the land arable but rough.  This is a world rich in iron and metal, with a rich topsoil layer and hard bones, a world to stage armies upon, and a world for heros. But the steep mountain ranges and fast rivers would surely strand any would be conqerour who neglects his logistics, a set piece world for grand strategies and epic campaigns.. Satisfied with the fields of battle he has wrought, he raises his sigil, a mountain formed into an anvil, with a blade struck in on a large island in one of the seas. He calls the world Kuh'la'to, the first forged.

The Lorekeeper arrives, or perhaps spontaneously self-defines to instantiate its aspect in this realm. It is no matter. There are more concerns. Creation. Creation is at hand! Music, photosynthetic life. But this is good. Variance, equatorial deviation, seasons, moisture variatino, oceans... a nebula rather than a G-type main sequence. A novel approach, but full of potential.

Bereft of a form with no mortal eyes to behold it, the Lorekeeper expands itself, twisting through the deepest valleys, seeding magic in its wake as it fills the water as it flows, blooming in mountain, lake, and sea. Simple life blossoms: algaes and other simple photosynthetic self-replicators near the surfaces; extremophiles in magma vents at the depths and poles. Life to adapt, to feed, to inspire.

((2 acts, mass mundane life - a broad range of hardy photosynthetic algae (of varying complexity.)
1 act, mass mundane life - extremophiles in extremely hot, acidic, or otherwise hostile environs.

If I can't do that to both planets, I am sad doing it to the one with grass already.))

"We could, we could," the Lorekeeper replies, looking down upon the mile-wide aquatic blooms. "Or..." it adds, a hint of slyness creeping in, "We could let some time pass, grow creatures greater, and give them the spark... to name it themselves. Doesn't the thought of what they might call it make you curious?"

The Warsmith, his might expended for now, turned his attention to the other world, leaping to it to take in the various things upon it. He felt the presence of other gods, finding them. "I see you have gotten a good start upon this world. It is a softer place than I have fashioned, but still, the star will give them hardening a plenty. I am Kulir. By what are you called?" he asked, his mental voice gruff but resonant, like a pile of iron bars sliding down a rock slope.

Hyuld gazes upon the worlds. "This will not do. A world needs to have it's ecology defined. Earth is unmoving, algae enriches the atmosphere but does not fixate. Let there be movement"

"From the bones of the world, one must hone life. To fit the world, it must be tempered. To the realities it is borne, it must be sharpened, and then by it's own hand polished." The Warsmith spoke, pondering which aspect of his world to develop next.

Godhood: A fresh start Empty Re: Godhood: A fresh start

Post by KatoHearts(A) Sat May 14, 2016 10:43 pm

And then it all began.

Grok was the first, bringing light in the form of a pulsar

He was soon followed by Horendithas, who created the first world

Melody was next, bringing the first life in a the form of simple grasses.

The Warsmith made his entrance and forged his own world, Kuh'la'to, marking it with his symbol.

The Lorekeeper slipped in as well, bringing about more life in the form of algaes and extremeophiles to the first planet.

Hyuld also steps into the universe, quickly adding more simple life, this time as prokaryotes and worms on both worlds.

And when all goes quiet among the gods, there's an almighty cracking sound.

The energies of Creation shatter and reform.

Half leaves the divine plane, entering the mortal plane.

It mirrors and reflects the first actions.

The universe is suddenly no longer empty.

The glory and beauty of space surrounds the gods.

Satisfied the gods rest for a time and life goes on.

Or it attempts to.

The pulsar behaves as expected, spewing out a rather constant stream of radiation.

The results are as expected.

The pulse comes and that which can’t withstand it is burnt away.

That which does grows again, stronger.

The grasses spread across the first world, though those that spread by wind become more prominent.

Its seas are quickly dominated by algaes which grow and spread unhindered while the extremophiles remain understandably isolated.

The worms and prokaryotes fill their niche, cycling nutrients as they go.

Things are more simple on Kuh'la'to

The worms species become a bit hardier and the bacterial population is a bit more subdued but capable of deriving nutrition from more diverse sources.

But now the time has come again.

The gods, nourished by what remains of the energies of Creation, begin to act.

The Warsmith chuckles at the life on the world, it's struggle to adapt. He forms small lithovores, shaping their stony flesh to resist the worst of the radiation.
In herds, He forms them, shaping each herd differently.
In herds, He groups them, making them suspicious of all that is other.
In herds, He plants the rudiments of thought.
In the land under His mountains he sows them, each herd well away from the others for now.
In these works, he is satisfied.

((5 acts , create unique life - small 3-4' centauroid lithovores with intelligence I and familial telepathy and xenophobia instilled. They are specifically based on a silicon biology, with their coloration varying based on the trace minerals, standing 2-2.5 feet tall at the withers, with another ~3/4 of this in the humanoid bits. They are hard bodied, composed of myomers under hard mineral plates they excrete over time, thickening with age. They also have a metal based internal skeleton. Notably, they have opposable thumbs but no vocal cords. Think stone plate mail on centaurs with sunken in heads, and no neck or nose for general appearance)

Grok seems to stop for a moment. The pulsar was good, it's emission points being a huge burning spotlight to the universe and demanding future questions. However, He needed to do something else. He continues to ignore the other Divine figures as he works to his own inscrutible plans. In spite of this, he gives the Warsmith a wink, or as close to one as his current form can manage.

He pops down to the surface of Planet X, and begins to fuss with it a little. Modifying bits of it to be Easily tapped for energy, albeit at the cost of the planets hot core, allowing future sentients to sacrifice their home for some easy energy, a trade that may not be as obvious to them as it looks to the gods. (1 act.)

Rising up from said planet however, his combined smartness and madness comes up with another idea, and the mass of protoplasmic short lived particles in the shape of a man gives the planet a good shove, pushing it into a binary orbit with the Warsmith's planet.(2 act)

Horindithas looks over at him (as best as his current form can manage) with a slight look of disdain. "What are your plans for my planet? Because I'm not entirely sure I'll like them, and I'd ask you to stop. If you must, make your own planet."

Grok looks back, his form making a grin instead "Just making it interesting. Something that'll inspire. Besides, It's around the star /I/ made, so let's not get all "mine mine mine" just yet." he burbled excitedly back at Horindithas.

But, Horindithas decides, he could start new life later. It'd be a shame for Grok to have his way, but there was always the chance for more life, more planets. He decides to pave the way for his future life's creativity; artistry. Nothing too much, just a cave drawing or such across some caves on the planet. Just as a spark for their creativity, their passion to the arts, music, theater, their passion to him. That life would have to wait, however. This day should be his day of rest. Rest seems quite appealing right now.

((2 acts, cave drawings in caves all across the planet-- some hidden, some not so much. They mostly depict things Horindithas imagines this life doing in the early stages of their development, a few may feature people playing some drums, tribal dances and chants, and some give tips on how to survive this world's dangers.))
